12 October 2011 - Call centre to rise in Brunei

LOCAL enterprise solution integration firm SiPadu Systems will soon set up Brunei's first consolidated call centre service, which promises to provide resource benefits to both local and overseas businesses and boost local employment.

The wholly-owned subsidiary company of TelBru Berhad has officially signed a joint venture agreement with an Omani-based technology solution provider Bahwan CyberTek recently in Oman for the implementation of a state-of-the-art call centre in the Sultanate.

"We have signed the joint venture agreement last Saturday, and insyaAllah, a new company will be set up within this year," said Hj Sahralidin Hj Abd Momin, the General Manager of SiPadu Systems.

He said that Bahwan Cybertek is a leading IT products and services company based in Muscat, Oman that will provide its technical expertise to implement and manage the call centre whereas SiPadu Systems will provide the human capital for the 24-hour, seven-days-a-week service.

Earlier this year, SiPadu Systems launched the 'unified communications' technology solution, a consolidated communications solution which can link together voice, video, data communications for private enterprises and government organisations.

The system was a joint venture between the firm and Ishajaya Technology Sdn Bhd.
