25 October 2012 - EGNC signs up 27 companies for ICT Youth Development Programme

A signing of participation ceremony between the e-Government National Centre (EGNC) of the Prime Minister's Office and 27 private companies in Brunei took place yesterday at Dewan Penghayatan of the Civil Service Institute building, Rimba.

The guest of honour was Awg Adi Shamsul bin Haji Sabli, Deputy Permanent Secretary (IT and e-Government) at the Prime Minister's Office.

The companies signed the memorandum of understanding as a sign of agreement to participate in the ICT Youth Development Programme, which was initiated last June.

Ninety participants of the ICT Youth Development Programme will undergo work placements at respective ICT companies. The aims of the programme are to give Brunei youths to go for an international standard ICT training and to provide an alternative education platform for the youth of the nation to undergo professional training. EGNC has prepared a variety of ICT training programmes based on different disciplines that will personally suit the participants' skills.
